Moda has democratized on-brand asset creation for anyone in our go-to-market organization. It has freed up so much of my time because this was clearly a gap within our team. We've already landed our first content-driven lead from assets created with Moda.

About FERMÀT

FERMÀT is a Series B company backed by Greylock, BCV and VMG Partners building the infrastructure layer between discovery and checkout for enterprise retailers. Their AI-powered agents use consumer data across channels to create better shopping experiences, increase conversions, and reduce costs for brands. Headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York and Bangalore, the company has about 65 employees.

Challenge

A growing company, no brand designers, and agencies that couldn't keep up

Jennifer Schnadig is Chief of Staff at FERMÀT, reporting directly to the CEO. Her role spans go-to-market, strategy, and whatever else needs doing. Increasingly, that meant design.

FERMÀT had product designers, but no in-house brand or marketing designers. They needed one-pagers, slide decks, videos, and ads to support their high-touch enterprise sales and emerging account-based marketing (ABM) motion.

FERMÀT was using design contractors, but it was painful. Turnaround was 48 hours at best. "We wanted it in two hours," Jennifer says. "Or 30 minutes."

They considered agencies, but found them to be really expensive and also slow — "they don't work at the same speed, and they don't iterate quite as quickly as we do."

They also tried AI tools like Manus. Manus generated slide decks, but the output wasn't brand-aligned. The workflow became: generate slides in Manus, export to Google Slides, then manually reformat everything into FERMÀT's brand. Jennifer also tried working directly in Figma, but the learning curve was steep and the tool was overkill for marketing assets. "You don't need all of that complexity for a one-pager," she says.

Solution

An AI design agent the whole GTM org could use on day one

When Jennifer first came across Moda, the reaction was instant. "A million light bulbs went off in my head," she says. "This is the solution that we need."

What made Moda work for FERMÀT was the combination of brand understanding, editability, and an intuitive UI.

The team uploaded FERMÀT's brand context once, and from there anyone could prompt the agent in plain language and get back a fully editable file that actually looked like FERMÀT.

If I want to click in and change a header, I can do that. I don't need to chat with the agent. But if I'm making sweeping changes or I want to change something across the entire deck, it's very easy to interact with the agent that way.

One of the first projects was an account-based marketing effort where FERMÀT wanted to personalize playbooks to each prospect. The team was proud of the output and was able to self-serve.

Results

Speed: Days to minutes

One-pagers that took contractors 2–3 days now take minutes. "Instead of working with contractors who don't understand our product that well, I go into Moda and start chatting with the agent."

Rapid adoption across many teams

What started as a marketing tool spread across the organization: account managers using Moda for QBR decks, people ops creating internal comms, marketing creating ad campaigns.

A recruiter needed a standing banner for a career fair in California. Within five minutes, they spun up this six-foot-tall banner. We had it printed at FedEx.

Measurable impact on leads

FERMÀT leveraged Moda to prototype their first set of account-based marketing campaigns as they rolled out a new product strategy.

Within a month, FERMÀT was able to attribute increased content leads to collateral created in Moda.

"Moda helped us scale our ABM motion."
