Moda has become the de facto way to create any sort of content for myself and the go-to-market team. It really has enabled us to be more professional, more scaled in our ability to meet the demands of a larger org with a smaller team size.

About Mintlify

Mintlify is the knowledge platform built for agents, providing self-updating documentation for startups, enterprises, and AI agents. More than 20,000 companies build on Mintlify, including Anthropic, Coinbase, AT&T, HubSpot, and Perplexity. The company is based in San Francisco and raised a $45M Series B led by Andreessen Horowitz and Salesforce Ventures.

Challenge

Bespoke deals, a high design bar, and no product marketer

Daniel Wolkowitz leads Mintlify's 11-person enterprise team, part of a broader sales org of 20+ sellers.

For strategic deals, reps needed more than a standard deck. They needed account-specific one-pagers, executive briefs, and slides tailored to a particular buyer, often a VP or C-suite exec.

At Daniel's previous company, a product marketing team absorbed that work. Mintlify did not have a product marketer yet. The work fell to the reps, and Mintlify's design bar was too high to settle for generic templates or AI output. Their CEO is detail-oriented and design minded, and can tell instantly when something does not feel like Mintlify.

Without an easy way to produce collateral at their quality bar, the team often did not create it at all.

The fact that we didn't have something that was easy to use actually was the reason we didn't have a lot of assets to use. The fact that we didn't have a way to automate this process at the scale that we needed was the main reason we didn't create more content.

Solution

Sellers bring the strategy. Moda handles the production.

Daniel rolled Moda out to the team, and in a few weeks it became the starting point for turning an idea into something presentable.

Getting started took a small upfront investment. Daniel uploaded Mintlify's design system and existing slide templates into Moda, teaching the product the brand and the standard structures his team builds from.

With that in place, Daniel rolled Moda out to the enterprise sellers. Because Moda adheres to the templates and design system he set up, the output looks like Mintlify and holds the design bar by default, even when the person creating it is a seller rather than a designer.

The rep still drives. The best reps already know what they want to say, and Moda lets them bring that vision into the flow. They give it the message, the customer context, and the format, or upload an outline or an existing PDF, and Moda turns it into a finished, on-brand draft.

It's nice to be able to tell Moda what I want to say, then step away for five or ten minutes and come back to a draft that you just need to put your final touches on.

Unlike other AI tools, the output is fully editable on a canvas similar to Google Slides. Moda does the heavy lifting on the first draft, and the rep refines the last mile.

Results

Hours back per asset, a self-sufficient team, and work that holds the design bar

Moda removed the production bottleneck without lowering Mintlify's standards.

If you're good at what you do and you know how to present information, then Moda becomes like a super tool for you.

Time to produce deal collateral dropped from 8 to 12 hours to about 30 minutes per asset. Across a team customizing material for every strategic account, those hours add up fast.

An 11-person enterprise team self-serves with no product marketer. Reps meet the personalized needs of both the team and the customer without a dedicated PMM or designer in the loop for every iteration.

More account-specific collateral gets made. The friction that capped output is gone, so reps create the bespoke material strategic deals actually call for.

Because every asset is brand-aware and fully editable, reps can polish the last mile so it feels unmistakably Mintlify, instead of shipping generic AI output.
