Bandcamp image sizes
Bandcamp's fixed and flexible image guidance serves different page types. Album art should be square and at least 1400×1400 pixels; merch images should be at least 1200×900; an artist-page background is typically 1280×1440; and a fan-page banner needs at least 280 pixels of height but can use any repeating width.
The fan-banner page therefore labels its 1280-pixel width as a working convention. Bandcamp only owns the height floor, formats and repeat behavior for that surface.
