A drinks list is handed over in a dim room, often to someone who has already had one. Dark grounds and heavy contrast do the work here, and the organising principle is the drink rather than the meal: cocktails, then beer, then wine by the glass, each with the spirits named and the serve described in a few words. These layouts leave space for measure, strength and house rules on the tab, and take a single-drink change without relaying the page.
