ATS resume templates

Applicant tracking software reads a resume as a stream of text, so anything clever breaks it: a sidebar transposes into the middle of a sentence, a table collapses, a name stranded in the page header never gets read at all. These stay in one column, use section headings the parser already knows, and keep dates in a form it can index. Icons and rules that carry no meaning are gone. What survives the parse is what a recruiter ends up seeing.
