Patreon image sizes

Patreon uses different image systems for the creator page, post feed, membership tiers and digital products. The updated creator cover is 2500×1000, the profile image is 1024×1024, feed images are 1920×1080, tier images are 460×200 and digital product images are 984×554 pixels.

Patreon still documents a legacy 1600×400 creator-page cover alongside the updated page. This guide keeps both versions labelled, rather than presenting two official numbers as if they described the same interface.

Creator Cover Image2500×1000px

Patreon's updated creator page recommends a cover image at least 2500×1000 pixels in JPG or PNG under 3MB. Patreon's same Help Center article retains separate legacy-page guidance at 1600×400, so check which editor your page uses.

For the updated creator page, Patreon displays the cover at up to 2500×1000 pixels and recommends an upload at least that large. The page title and About content sit on the left, so Patreon recommends keeping key visuals toward the right and avoiding text where possible.

Best practices

  • Use 2500×1000 for the updated creator page and verify the preview before publishing.
  • Keep important subjects toward the right half and avoid relying on text inside the cover.
  • If your editor shows the legacy layout, follow Patreon's separate 1600×400 guidance instead.

Profile Image1024×1024px

Patreon recommends a 1024×1024-pixel square profile image with a file size of 16MB or less. This image is also the main creator image shown in the Patreon app.

The profile image is the compact identity asset for a Patreon creator or member. Patreon's dedicated profile-image help article recommends 1024×1024 pixels and a maximum file size of 16MB.

Best practices

  • Export a square 1024×1024-pixel image under 16MB.

Post Image1920×1080px

Patreon recommends 1920×1080 pixels at 16:9 for post-feed and inline images. Other ratios are allowed, but Patreon says they are letterboxed in the post feed rather than filling the frame.

Patreon's post feed displays images at 16:9, making 1920×1080 the cleanest full-frame source for both gallery posts and images placed inline in a text post.

Tier Image460×200px

Patreon recommends 460×200 pixels at a 2.3:1 aspect ratio for tier images. The wide, compact card needs one clear benefit or visual rather than detailed text.

Tier images visually distinguish membership levels. Patreon's current image-size table recommends 460×200 pixels, which is a wide 2.3:1 card.

Dimensions

460 × 200 px

Aspect ratio

2.3:1

Best practices

  • Export at 460×200 pixels using the 2.3:1 ratio Patreon publishes.
  • Use one clear visual system to distinguish tiers without relying on small text.
  • Leave membership names and prices to Patreon's accessible interface fields.

Digital Product Image984×554px

Patreon recommends 984×554 pixels at 16:9 for digital product images. Related commerce and media artwork uses separate sizes: 400×400 product hero, 1024×1024 collection or podcast cover, 1280×720 video thumbnail, 1920×1080 custom thumbnail and 1080×810 Drops cover.

Patreon's digital product gallery uses 984×554-pixel landscape images. The compact square product hero is a separate 400×400 asset, so one crop should not be expected to fill both roles cleanly.
